With the design work, the students complete their training as state-certified designers, the master craftsman's certificate is integrated. The training takes two years and prepares you for a position in middle management. A prerequisite for this is a completed apprenticeship as a painter and varnisher, interior decorator or plasterer.

Graduate Ferdinand Weipert showed in his presentation "Metal Oxidation - The Color Diversity of Leaf Metals" various surface designs made of oxidized leaf metals. The “Glowing Seas” surface made of oxidized brass stood out: Weipert worked with various oxidizing agents that reacted chemically with one another. "Concrete - surface design, renovation, imitation" was the theme of Leon Sfakianakis. In addition to five surface designs, he presented his table made of two MDF panels, which was designed in imitation concrete.

For her presentation “Clay plasters and clay colors - interiors in a natural design”, Mona Schmitt modeled surfaces using sgraffito, stenciling and bashing technique, among other things. In his work, Daniel Ring dealt with "Acrylic colors - a design tool for the interior". In his works, he showed what is possible with acrylic paint: the highlight was a metallic-looking surface - made from modeling paste, bronze paint and iridescent artist paint worked with a spatula, sponge and rag. Kena Huisinga, on the other hand, presented the variety of designs and uses of the building material lime - from lime glaze, swamp lime to lime spatula.
