Lifestyle Restaurant On Lake Maggiore Cosmopolitan Modernity Meets Ticino Tradition

After an extensive renovation phase, the restaurant SEVEN opened its doors in an exposed location at the port of Ascona. The innovative concept with restaurant, bar, lounge, terrace and wine room offers contemporary cuisine, design and event catering for over 200 discerning guests. The continuous design concept comes from bert haller Interior Architects, Mönchengladbach, and combines cosmopolitan modernity with the local Ticino tradition. The sculpturally staged outside staircase is a connecting and architectural element of the different levels from the outside to the inside. The facade is kept in a mineral matt white-pink. In order to determine the perfect color for the object, several large-scale samples were made in advance. In particular, there was the change in color perception on plaster surfaces such asInclude rough plaster, since rough surfaces usually make the colors appear darker. On site, the executive painter company Pasinelli Francesco installed additional square-meter-sized color samples directly on the facade in order to check whether white parts still have to be added to the original tone. Ultimately, Barolo 90 Amphisilan from Caparol was used as the color for the facade. Amphisilan combines the advantages of the proven emulsion paints and classic silicate paints. Thanks to the specially developed recipe based on the Caparol Clean Concept, the water-repellent material ensures long-term clean facades. In the guest room of the restaurant there are natural stones in various surfaces as well as selected types of wood. Horizontal window bands allow a relaxing view of the Ascona marina.
