Caparol performs excellently at Europe's largest environmental and economic award.
The GreenTec Awards celebrated their tenth anniversary in Berlin on May 12th. For the first time, an international alliance between the world's largest environmental award and Canada formed the foundation of the award ceremony. The focus of this cooperation is the promotion of green technologies and projects. The GreenTec Awards offer green innovations a media platform and are supported by over 100 sponsors and partners.
At the GreenTec Awards 2017, Caparol received an award in the Building & Living category for the resource-saving CapaGeo range. Thanks to the use of renewable raw materials, these new types of interior dispersions, paints and wood oils are especially environmentally friendly and are formulated in premium quality. At the same time, they have optimal processing properties. “With CapaGeo we are entering a new segment and are taking on a pioneering role. In doing so, Caparol closes a gap in the market and appeals primarily to environmentally conscious, lifestyle-oriented and discerning customers who value responsible products. By using renewable raw materials in production, we want to conserve our precious and limited resources,”says Product Management Manager Wolfgang Hoffmann, explaining Caparol's ecological path.
The award shows once again that "with CapaGeo we have achieved a trend-setting innovation," says Hoffmann. The Öko-Institut, as one of Europe's leading independent research and consulting institutions for a sustainable future, had already confirmed that Caparol is taking a new and future-oriented path for the tested interior colors IndekoGeo and CapaTrendGeo by replacing petroleum-based raw materials with renewable raw materials.
For the CapaGeo product range, Caparol received an award in the Building & Living category at the GreenTec Awards 2017 in Berlin.
