Parquet flooring is durable, resilient and environmentally friendly. However, it must be properly maintained and protected.

Wooden floorboards and parquet are still the most popular floor coverings in Germany. Jansen has improved the recipe for its tried and tested acrylic wood seal and has now launched the optimized product on the market as Aqua PUR parquet and wood seal. The clear coat is ideal for the new or renovation painting of wooden floors in the living area with normal use.

In addition to parquet floors and wooden planks, other wooden components such as wooden ceilings, panels, doors, shelves or furniture can also be processed with the product. A new binder ensures that the paint has increased water resistance. The advantages are obvious: water residues, such as those created when watering flowers, do not penetrate the wood as quickly. The building material is protected longer. At the same time, the abrasion due to mechanical stress and thus the renovation intervals are reduced.

In order to meet the needs of the market in a targeted manner, the colorless PU clear coat is now available, in addition to glossy and satin gloss, also in the sought-after gloss level tuff-matt. It is odorless, resistant to cleaning and also resistant to saliva and sweat simulants according to DIN 53 160 part 1 and 2. In addition, the paint has been tested for emissions according to the criteria of the Committee for Health Assessment of Construction Products (AgBB) and has the general building inspectorate approval of the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt).

Increase surefootedness

So-called anti-skid agents can be mixed into the paint to prevent potential slipping traps. Such slip resistance is mandatory on numerous floors and stairs, especially in commercial or public areas, but it also makes sense in living areas. Stirring 10 percent Jansen Additive R achieves slip resistance class 10. Additive R leads to increased surefootedness without the floors and stairs tending to become more dirty. They are still easy to clean.
