Video: Langeoog Water Tower
The well-known landmark was once again freshly renovated and in brilliant white on its feast day.
The island of Langeoog celebrated the 100th birthday of the water tower in June with a big ceremony, which, after intensive renovation, presented itself in brilliant white. It has been out of service since 1994, but is still of extraordinary importance in its function as a landmark and tourist magnet on the island. Today the island's highest vantage point is an exhibition space. Only specialists were considered for the renovation of this monument. The choice fell on the Alligator Farbwerke and the restorer Kramp & Kramp from Lemgo-Lieme, who adapted the exterior of the tower to the original version from 1909 in just ten weeks. Products from the Alligator Kieselit range were used, a silicate system that has proven its worth in natural preservation for years due to its natural properties.
The now bright white Langeoog water tower was renovated with alligator products for its 100th birthday.
