Product In Use. Imitation Mosaic Tile

H. Schubert GmbH extends the range of its imi brand imitations with the mosaic tile. The new surface combines three-dimensional structure with characteristic colors and a distinctive look.

In addition to the area of application on walls and floors, there are also other possible uses for imi mosaic reproduction, both in interior design and in furniture, shop and contract construction. The coloring process developed by imi and the mineral 3D coating are intended to reproduce the product-typical coloring and authentic feel of the joint structure. The joints do not consist of cementitious grout, as is usual in the original. The entire surface is cast in one operation. As a result, it has no pores and is smooth in nature. Dirt and lime should not get stuck and the material is easy to wipe off. Special joint cleaning agents and tools should not be necessary, says the manufacturer. There are currently two different color designs to choose from,each in a Mediterranean mix of brown and beige. The MDF composite board and the mat in the standard size of 2,604.0 x 993.5 mm serve as carrier materials for the Imi mosaic tile. The mat should be particularly suitable for the design of walls, ceilings and floors. It should be extremely hard-wearing and its flexibility means that even round elements can be covered with the mat.
